Introduction

Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), established in 1957, stands as one of India's premier engineering institutions. Founded by the philanthropist and industrialist Late Shri Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar, TCE has been at the forefront of technical education for over six decades. Located in Thiruparankundram, Madurai, the college occupies a sprawling 62-acre campus that combines traditional academic values with cutting-edge technology and infrastructure.

Affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and approved by AICTE, TCE achieved autonomous status in 1987, becoming one of the first engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu to gain this distinction. This autonomy has enabled TCE to design innovative curricula, implement progressive teaching methods, and maintain its position as a leader in engineering education and research.

With NAAC A++ accreditation and NBA accreditation for all eligible programs, TCE represents excellence in technical education, producing engineers and technologists who have made significant contributions to industry, research, and society worldwide.
