TANGEDCO has issued an official notification regarding a planned power shutdown in several parts of Melur on 29 November 2025 (Saturday). The outage is scheduled to facilitate mandatory maintenance work at the Melur 110 KV Substation.

Areas Affected

  • Melur

  • Thumbaipatty

  • Usilampatty surroundings

  • Thiruvathavur

  • Kottakudi surroundings

Reason for Power Outage

The shutdown is required to carry out essential maintenance on the electrical infrastructure connected to the Melur 110 KV Feeder. These improvements are aimed at ensuring better reliability and uninterrupted power supply in the future.

  • From: 09:00 AM

  • To: 02:00 PM

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are encouraged to make necessary arrangements in advance. Power will be restored earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule.
