Why e-KYC is being enforced
The oil companies say the verification is meant to weed out fraudulent and duplicate LPG connections, so that the subsidy goes only to eligible households. Linking each connection to the holder's Aadhaar biometrics confirms that the person drawing the subsidy is who they say they are.
Who needs to do it
